Suction will not work effectively on porous or uneven surfaces, such as grout lines, cement walls, wood, porcelain, marble, wallpaper, natural stones (e.g., travertines), painted walls, and any other bumpy surfaces. To install the suction shower basket on these types of rough surfaces, you will need to use the 3M Discs included in the package.

However, you do not need to use the "Adhesive Mounting Discs" if you have non-porous, smooth surfaces like tiles, glass, or mirrors.
